To all moms out there, Happy Mother's Day! I'd like to write about moms but it would be a personal anecdote about my mama, so yeah, let me just wish all moms and future mothers out there! >_< You're not appreciated enough, not thanked enough, mostly taken for granted, and yet your love remains unconditional. Every day should be mother's day!

I really loved that fanart, it's one I would have really loved to see in the series, that happy joyous smile...or even the manga. It always hit the feels whenever I think that instead of joy at the news of her being pregnant, Kokoro was filled with fear and anxiety.
I never liked the memory wipe, but these two have clearly trespassed so the memory alteration was more acceptable than have them pruned or killed to be made examples of.
I'm of the opinion that emotions have little connection with the rational mind. You don't feel for this person because your head tells you to, going by rl experience, the heart and the mind doesn't always get along. haha. So when they do, it's magical.
I like how they have portrayed Kokoro as a loving mother, who keeps a close eye on her child, and Ai obviously feels secure and loved. At least, that was how this pic was portrayed to me.
I know kids can be loving and trusting, but they also know how to be wary. We see Ai as a happy, content kid, playing with clovers lol confident that both parents loved her.
The memory wipe could have ruined it, made Kokoro resent her child because of the unexpected responsibility or whatever, but no, her true nature shone through. A loving, gentle person.
You know what they say - can only see a person's true character through the lens of adversity. Kokoro could have simply washed off her hands of all responsibility and had Ai aborted, or maybe after giving birth, she could have simply abandoned Ai in the infirmary. There were lots of possibilities, but then, that's not who Kokoro is. And I'm glad they didn't butcher her character post memory wipe.
I'm obsessed with MitsuKoko, partly because I love their relationship and the other half? Because they're wonderful parents. :D
