The Standard FRANXX is the mass-manufactured models of the FRANXX. It's the standard model, used by most of the Plantations with the exception of Cerasus.

Appearance

The standard FRANXX model is dark grey and slender with yellow goggles. It wields a spear which can shoot orange harpoons made out of magma-energy. The harpoons are also capable of emitting powerful electromagnetic energy used for busting Klaxosaurs.

History

In Hachi and Nana's flashbacks, it is revealed that they were both parasites when they were younger and they piloted standard FRANXXs.

Episode 05: Your Thorn, My Badge

Squad 13 learns from Squad 26 that other squads have identical FRANXX units, suiting their blank-slate personalities and that their squad is the only one with unique FRANXX designs.

Episode 06: DARLING in the FRANXX

Squad 26 pilot the standard FRANXXs in battle. Their uniformity proves to be excellent for coordination and teamwork during the battle. However, all the standard FRANXXs run out of fuel before they defeat the Gutenberg-class, leaving Squad 13 to do the fighting for them.

Episode 15: The Bird that Shares Its Wings

During the battle of the Gran Crevasse, united FRANXX units are mostly composed of standard FRANXX models, many of which are destroyed and decapitated owing to the battle's ferocity. Squad 26's standard FRANXXs all self-destruct during the battle after Vice Chairman orders 090 to execute Protocol 32.

Episode 20: A New World

During the second battle of the Gran Crevasse, many standard FRANXXs are sent to fight so APE can take over the Gran Crevasse.

Episode 24: Never Let Me Go

After the galactic battle, the remaining standard FRANXX were converted into monuments or were used as materials in building.
