This is the twentieth chapter of DARLING in the FRANXX.

Plot

Hiro asks Zero Two about the FRANXX in front of them and she says it is a Model Nine for the 9’s. She tells Alpha not to get in her way and she commands Strelizia to fight him. Hiro is shocked two FRANXXs are fighting each other and he is confused that Alpha is in the pistil position. Zero Two says the FRANXX has no relation to him and Alpha says the 9’s aren’t bound by a system like the parasites. He further says this isn’t even his full power and she is just trying to imitate being human, calling her Iota - her code name. Zero Two lashes out that she is called Zero Two before Alpha takes advantage of the situation and begins beating Strelizia. Zero Two tells Hiro she needs more power but Hiro says this is a battle between FRANXXs. Hachi asks what is going on before he is told that another big klaxosaur that is not Beta is 3000 points North East of the plantation and is approaching.

Squad 13 is successfully eliminating the klaxosaurs and Code 090 is impressed, saying Squad 26 would be at a disadvantage without them and wonders if they are growing up so fast. A massive stampede-like klaxosaur thrusts out of the ground and attacks on of the FRANXX from Squad 26. Everyone is confused about what it is. Alpha says it was led here by the kissing and says it a klaxosaur not on file because it is from underground, and wonders if the two squads can deal with it. Hiro asks to let them go because everyone is in danger but Alpha says he is following orders and calls Hiro a child for begging. Strelizia begins glowing while Hiro and Zero Two say they have to go before attacking Alpha.
