This is the eighth chapter of DARLING in the FRANXX.

Plot

Genista, Argentea and Delphinium head to level 8 of the magma energy mining facility. Hachi explains they will need to destroy the core of the klaxosaur to kill it and the three units make their way to the target’s location. Nana asks Mitsuru and Ikuno what happened, and thinks it might be because Ikuno is unwell and orders she undergo an examination. Mitsuru asks if the problem is their compatibility but Nana says that is common at first and no reason to split them up, much to Mitsuru‘s disappointment.

The three find a klaxosaur and seemingly kill it quickly it but Zero Two says they are rookies and don’t know what they’re doing. The core attacks Argentea and knocks Miku unconscious. Genista and Delphinium attack it but are shocked to find a horde of klaxosaurs surrounding them. Nana says they ended up attracting more klaxosaurs when they released their magma weapons. Zero Two says Nana should have sent her and Hiro down there, and if they keep this up, they will all die.
